Garment Lockers a.k.a Clothing Store Lockers: What to choose?
The problem with the locker industry is that most people don’t know the name of the lockers they’re searching for. We call them all sorts of things: aeration lockers, clean and dirty lockers, garment lockers. Always searching for names that make sense to buyers instead of manufacturers. You might be searching for “lockers for dirty garments or towels”, and found this article. You’re in luck then! There are two specific lockers designed for uniform exchange: the garment fold locker and the garment hang locker. Read on for more details.
What is a Garment Locker?
A Garment Locker is unique in that it features doors within a door. The inner doors are “user doors” and are keyed uniquely to only allow access to individuals. The outer door or “master door” operates on a different key and allows universal access to all compartments in one go.
The benefits of this is that it allows for the quick exchange of uniforms, garments, towels, overalls, etc. Someone, generally a cleaner, can open the master door and distribute clean garments to all the users quickly and efficiently.
Garment Locker: Garment Fold Lockers

The Garment Fold Locker has smaller compartments to allow for folded clothing or towels to be stored within. They’re generally available in 4, 8, 10 or even 16 door variants depending on the size of the garments that need to be placed within.
The garment lockers we sell at Hi Tech Lockers are all Australian Made with lifetime warranties, so if this is the option you require, you can find out more information here.
Garment Locker: Garment Hang Lockers
The Garment Hang Locker has smaller compartments to allow for hanging clothing or towels to be stored within. They’re generally available in 2 or 4 door variants depending on the how many clothes need to be hung.
The garment lockers we sell at Hi Tech Lockers are all Australian Made with lifetime warranties, so if this is the option you require, you can find out more information here.

Antimicrobial Protection Available
One unique feature about garment lockers from Hi Tech Lockers, is that we can offer antimicrobial protection. With the handling of soiled clothing and clean clothing, the reduction of cross contamination risk becomes paramount. Any of our lockers can be made using BioCote®, which is an antimicrobial technology built right into the powder coat. It prevents the spread of harmful bacteria like E. Coli and MRSA. It costs a little bit more, but has the same life as the lockers themselves: we have the lab certified certificates to prove it!
