Shipping

With our extensive carrier network we are able to deliver your lockers to any physical location in Australia. Due to using different carriers for different locations, there are some policies you should be aware of when ordering from Hi Tech Lockers.

A "Standard" Delivery

A "standard" delivery includes the following:

  • Ground floor drop off that does not include product placement or installation
  • Delivery within standard business days and hours (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm)
  • All quoted goods being delivered at the same time
  • Immediate loading dock or loading zone access
  • The goods are shipping fully assembled unless otherwise indicated on your quote or invoice.

A "standard" delivery does not include the following:

  • Delivery to a level above ground floor via a shared lift
  • Inductions, Placement or Installation
  • Early morning or weekend delivery
  • Specific time or day requests
  • Stair access only
  • Phone call the day before or on approach (can be arranged on request).

However, these variations can often be allowed for providing we know ahead of time. Read below for more detailed information on these variations.

Our Freight Pricing Policy

We charge as little as possible on freight, in many cases only charging what it costs us to pack and send the goods. If your freight price seems high, please consider that your goods are being shipped fully assembled by companies who understand how to transport sensitive furniture items. They are not sent with "General Carriers" who are used to shipping boxes as we find they cause preventable damage.

Packaging

Most of our freight is handled by our internal team, or by removalists and will transport your goods with packing blankets. In some cases we will box your goods or use plastic bags for dust protection. Goods are not palletised unless specifically noted on your quote.

Mining Sites, Defence Force sites, Police Stations and other high security facilities

We regularly deliver goods to high security facilities and extra charges do apply to cover mandatory inductions, security inspections and additional wait times associated with these kinds of locations. Be sure to let us know when getting your quote that we need to account for this otherwise additional charges may apply beyond the quoted amount.

Delivery Times

Our deliveries occur Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm. As our typical customers are commercial, we would usually advise the week the item is due, but not a specific date or time. Specific times are arranged whenever installation is involved, however.

Placement and Installation

Placement is defined as putting the goods in position. Installation takes this one step further, and includes fixing lockers together, to walls/floor, levelling plinths or stands. Effectively, ensuring the goods are 100% ready to use. We can manage either of these on your behalf, or provide input to your builder or own install team if you prefer to organise it yourself.

Ex-Factory Lead Times vs Shipping Times

All quoted lead times are ex-factory which means that is the time until the goods are fully manufactured and ready to be shipped. The shipping time is in addition, and varies based on location. The listed shipping times are estimates and should be used as a guide only.

Shipping Times

Sydney metro: delivery occurs up to 1 week after goods ready

Melbourne and Brisbane metro: delivery occurs up to 3 weeks after goods ready

Regional locations: delivery occurs from 1 - 4 weeks after goods are ready

Perth, Adelaide, Cairns, Mackay, Townsville, Toowoomba, Darwin: delivery occurs from 2 - 4 weeks after goods are ready

Hobart, Launceston: delivery occurs up to 4 weeks after goods are ready
